Standing Bent Over Rope Row (Cable)

Also known as: Standing Bent Over Rope Row (Cable).

A standing row using a rope attached to a low cable.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Face a low pulley with a rope attached and hold one end in each hand. Step back until the cable is taut, plant both feet and hinge forward slightly with knees bent, a neutral back and arms long toward the pulley.
  2. Pull both rope ends toward the lower ribs as the elbows move behind the torso, keeping the hinge and knees still. Extend the arms slowly to the same start without turning the movement into a squat or torso swing.
