Assisted Pull-Up (Resistance Band)

Also known as: Assisted Pull-Up (Resistance Band).

A pull-up assisted by a resistance band under the knees.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Loop an appropriate resistance band securely around a fixed overhead pull-up bar and place the bent knees in the lower loop. Hold the bar overhand with both hands and start hanging with long arms, keeping the band centered and controlled.
  2. Pull up until the chin approaches/clears the bar, then lower slowly to the long-arm start without swinging or allowing the band to slip.
