Plate Loaded Seated Leg Raise Crunch (Machine)

Also known as: Plate Loaded Seated Leg Raise Crunch (Machine).

Seated abdominal crunch on a plate-loaded machine whose seat and lower-leg support move together with the torso lever.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Adjust the seat and lower-leg support to your height. Sit tall against the back pads, lower shins behind the rollers, and hold both grips beside the head.
  2. Brace the abdomen and curl the torso forward smoothly. Allow the linked seat and lower support to move with the machine; do not add a separate knee tuck or pull with the arms.
  3. Return slowly to the upright start. Keep the movement forward-facing without rotating the seat in this variation.
