Lower Body Rotary Torso (Machine)

Also known as: Lower Body Rotary Torso (Machine).

A torso rotation in which the pelvis and seat turn while the upper torso remains against the fixed support.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Sit facing a bottom-pivot torso-rotation machine with chest against its fixed upper pad, hands holding both fixed handles, knees against the lower stabilizing pads and feet on the designated platform. Start at a small comfortable selected angle.
  2. Keep chest and shoulders supported and steady while rotating the pelvis/seat assembly against resistance. Return slowly to the selected start; set up the opposite side separately, without forcing end range.
