Long Lever Push-Up (Bodyweight)

Also known as: Long Lever Push-Up (Bodyweight), Long Lever Press-Up (Bodyweight).

A controlled push-up with the hands well in front of the shoulders.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Start low with palms flat far ahead of the shoulders, arms long, legs straight and toes tucked on the floor. Keep the trunk braced and body close to the floor within a manageable shoulder range.
  2. Press the palms into the floor to lift the chest, abdomen and hips together a small distance while keeping arms nearly straight and toes planted; lower under control to the same low position. No jump, clap or alternating arm/leg lift.
