Incline Serratus Raise (Dumbbell)

Also known as: Incline Serratus Raise (Dumbbell).

Straight-arm scapular protraction with dumbbells on an incline bench.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Support head, back and pelvis on an incline bench with feet flat. Hold two light dumbbells with long arms vertically above the shoulders.
  2. Start with shoulder blades resting against the pad and keep elbows nearly straight.
  3. Reach the dumbbells a few centimetres upward by protracting the shoulder blades. Do not bend the elbows as in a press.
  4. Let the shoulder blades settle back against the pad under control.
