Childs Pose Lat Stretch (Bodyweight)

Also known as: Childs Pose Lat Stretch (Bodyweight).

Kneeling lat stretch with the hips toward the heels and both arms reaching forward along the floor.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Kneel on a comfortable surface and ease the hips toward the heels, with enough space between the knees for the torso.
  2. Reach both arms forward and rest the palms on the floor. Keep the neck long and lower the forehead toward the ground.
  3. Breathe calmly with a gentle stretch along the sides of the back. Avoid bouncing or forcing the shoulders.
  4. Walk the hands back and slowly come out of the position.
