Chest Supported Shrug (Dumbbell)

Also known as: Chest Supported Shrug (Dumbbell).

Chest-down shrug against an inclined bench with two dumbbells and straight elbows, rather than a standing shrug or elbow-bending row.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Support the chest against an inclined bench with both feet on the floor behind you and one dumbbell hanging in each hand.
  2. Begin with long arms and shoulders relaxed downward, keeping the neck aligned with the torso.
  3. Raise only the shoulders toward the ears without bending the elbows or lifting the chest.
  4. Lower the shoulders and weights slowly.
