Bent Over Row (Dumbbell)

Also known as: Bent Over Row (Dumbbell).

Unsupported bent-over row with one dumbbell in each hand and both arms rowing together from a stable hip hinge.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and hinge forward with soft knees and a neutral spine.
  2. Let both arms hang beneath the shoulders with palms facing each other and both feet flat.
  3. Drive both elbows back together to bring the dumbbells beside the torso, keeping the torso angle unchanged.
  4. Lower both weights slowly until the arms lengthen again without rounding the back or standing up.

Tips

  • Choose a load that lets you hold the hip hinge steady.
