Alternating Heel Touches (Bodyweight)

Also known as: Alternating Heel Touches (Bodyweight).

Supine bent-knee exercise with shoulders lifted and alternating same-side hand-to-heel reaches through lateral trunk flexion.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Lie on your back with knees bent, both feet flat and arms beside the body.
  2. Lift the head and shoulders slightly and begin centered, with the pelvis resting steadily on the floor.
  3. Bend the torso a short distance sideways to reach one hand toward the heel on that same side.
  4. Return to center and repeat on the other side. Keep the shoulders lifted; left plus right counts as one repetition.
