Supported Single Leg Calf Raise (Dumbbell)

Also known as: Supported Single Leg Calf Raise (Dumbbell).

One-leg calf raise from the floor holding one dumbbell on the working side and a fixed rack support with the other hand.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Stand on the left foot with its heel grounded, a dumbbell in the left hand and the right hand on a fixed support.
  2. Bend the right leg to keep that foot airborne, maintaining a nearly straight left knee and upright torso.
  3. Rise through the left forefoot to lift the heel, using the support only for balance.
  4. Lower the heel slowly and switch sides after the set, counting repetitions per leg.
