Supported Calf Raise (Bodyweight)

Also known as: Supported Calf Raise (Bodyweight).

Bilateral bodyweight calf raise with the forefeet on a low block and hands resting on a stable chair for balance.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Place a stable chair in front of a low, secure block and rest both hands on the backrest.
  2. Set the forefeet on the block edge with heels free behind it and knees nearly straight.
  3. Raise both heels by pushing through the balls of the feet, using the chair only for balance.
  4. Lower the heels under control below the forefeet through your comfortable range.
