Straight Bar Reverse Preacher Curl (Barbell)

Also known as: Straight Bar Reverse Preacher Curl (Barbell).

A preacher curl with a straight barbell and an overhand grip.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Sit behind a proper preacher bench with both feet grounded, chest against the top of the pad and upper arms fully supported. Hold a light straight bar overhand near shoulder width, elbows long but not locked. Use correctly oriented bar cradles below the bottom position.
  2. Curl without lifting the upper arms or turning the palms upward, then lower slowly to the same soft-elbow start. Rack the bar in the real supports after the set.
