Standing Rear Delt Row, Rope (Cable)

Also known as: Standing Rear Delt Row, Rope (Cable).

Standing rope cable row with elbows flared at shoulder height, pulling the rope toward the fronts of the shoulders without a face-pull rotation.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Attach one rope to a pulley around shoulder height and hold one end in each hand.
  2. Step back with staggered feet and reach the arms toward the pulley, keeping the torso upright.
  3. Draw the hands toward the fronts of the shoulders as the elbows travel outward and backward at shoulder height.
  4. Lengthen the arms again under control. Finish in front of the shoulders rather than beside the ears.
