Also known as: Upright Row (Smith Machine).
An upright row using the guided bar of a Smith machine.
How to perform this exercise
- Stand inside a Smith frame with both feet planted and hold the guided bar overhand in front of the thighs, arms long. Choose a comfortable grip and set the safety stops.
- Draw the guided bar upward close to the torso as the elbows move outward, stopping within a comfortable shoulder range around lower-chest height. Lower along the rails under control without hip drive.
