Deficit Reverse Lunge (Smith Machine)

A Smith machine reverse lunge from a low raised platform.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Stand with both feet on a broad low nonslip platform inside a correctly aligned Smith frame. Rest the guided bar across the upper back, hands holding it securely and safety stops set below the controlled bottom position.
  2. Step one foot backward off the platform onto the floor, bend both knees to lower while the front foot remains elevated, then drive through that front foot and return the rear foot to the platform. Repeat and change sides after the set.
