Chest Supported Seated Rear Delt Fly (Cable)

Also known as: Chest Supported Seated Rear Delt Fly (Cable).

Seated bilateral cable rear-delt fly with pelvis on seat and chest against sloped bench pad, using opposite-side handles.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Place a stable bench with an inclined chest pad between two cable columns and set the pulleys around seated shoulder height.
  2. Sit facing the pad with pelvis supported by the seat and both feet firmly supported. Hold the opposite handles so the cables cross in front.
  3. Start with long arms in front of the chest and a soft elbow bend, then open the arms sideways while keeping the chest supported.
  4. Return the hands slowly forward with the same elbow angle, keeping both cables clear of the head, body and bench.
