Butt Kicks (Bodyweight)

Also known as: Butt Kicks (Bodyweight).

An on-the-spot running drill with the heels moving backward alternately.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Stand tall with feet under the hips and elbows softly bent. Start with one foot planted and the opposite knee bent so that heel travels backward toward its buttock without pulling the thigh far forward.
  2. Alternate light running steps in place, bringing each heel backward in turn while the torso stays tall and arms swing naturally. Land softly beneath the hips.
