Bilateral Lateral Raise (Cable)

Also known as: Bilateral Lateral Raise (Cable).

Simultaneous lateral raise between two low cable pulleys, holding each opposite handle so the cables cross in front of the pelvis.

How to perform this exercise

  1. Set both pulleys low and attach separate handles. Stand centrally and take each handle with the opposite hand.
  2. Start with both hands low in front of the pelvis, knees soft and torso upright. The cables cross in front of the body.
  3. Raise both arms sideways together toward shoulder height, keeping a small, nearly constant elbow bend.
  4. Lower both hands slowly without swinging the torso. Record the selected load per cable side.

Tips

  • Keep enough space in front of the body for both cables to travel freely.
