Account deletion
Delete your account.
You can request deletion at any time. We process within 30 days as required by GDPR. NL versie: /account-verwijderen.
What gets deleted
- Account information (email, name, profile photo)
- Workout history, food logs, body weight entries
- Sleep data, recovery data, custom programs
- Strength Score history and Adaptive TDEE history
- Social posts, comments, group memberships
- Any uploaded media (custom-exercise images, meal-template photos)
What is retained
- Anonymous, aggregated workout patterns for Vytrix benchmarks. Your individual data cannot be linked back.
- Financial records (Stripe payment receipts) — required by Dutch tax law for 7 years.
- Legal/compliance logs — minimal audit-trail entries to support dispute resolution. Retained 1 year after deletion.
How to request deletion
- From the app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account. Email confirmation required.
- By email: send a request from your registered Vytrix email to privacy@vytrix.app with subject “Account deletion request”.
- Web form: use the rate-limited
/api/account-deletion-requestendpoint via Settings on web (coming soon).
Retention period for deleted data
After we receive your confirmation, we initiate a soft-delete (data marked as deleted but recoverable for 30 days for accidental-deletion safety). After 30 days, data is hard-deleted from our primary database. Backups containing your data are rotated within 90 days.
What if I change my mind?
Within 30 days of submitting deletion: email privacy@vytrix.app from your registered address. After 30 days the deletion is irreversible.
